TEACHER BIO'S

ULI JANZEN: Violin teacher Born in Mannheim, Germany, Uli received her first musical instruction from her mother, a piano teacher and church organist. At the age of six she started taking violin lessons with a member of the professional orchestra of Mannheim.
Music in general, and the violin in particular, was a very important part of her childhood and teen years. After high school Uli completed a business administration apprenticeship with a big corporation in Germany. She then returned to her first passion - music - through the music education program at the “Musikhochschule Trossingen”.
In 1995 she started working as a violin and voice teacher as well as being a member of the extra choir of the opera in Heidelberg, Germany. She continued her studies and finished her teaching degree in at the University of Mannheim in 1999. That same year she immigrated to Canada where taught violin and became a member of the Fraser Valley Symphony. Uli loves teaching and and also enjoys being part of an orchestra. This is her 3rd year teaching with A&D Music.
