TEACHER BIO'S
DOMINIQUE GARNEAU: Fiddle/Violin – Dominique is the 2nd oldest of 4 fiddling sisters and has been playing since she was 5 years old. She enjoys playing a variety of musical styles including Celtic, Canadain Old Time, Metis, French Canadian and Cape Breton. She has competed in various fiddle contests throughout the province both individually and as a Twin player with her sister Michaela. She has benefited from instruction with some of Canada's best fiddlers including Mark Sullivan, Patti Lamoureux, Gordon Stobbe, Calvin Vollrath and Troy MacGillivray. Dominique traveled to Scotland in 2008 with a local fiddle group where she tasted the music of the Highlands. She has performed at various events including the Olympics, St. Patrick's Day in Vancouver as well as numerous Abbotsford events. Dominique takes over teaching from her older sisier Michaels who is off to university and is excited to pass on her love of fiddling to her students.
